Travel to Beirut: practical information

Air France lands in Beirut at the Rafik-Hariri International Airport, located 7 km south of the city. There are no shuttles to downtown; however, there are many taxis. Although there is bus service, the best way to discover Beirut is by foot since the city center is quite compact.

To enter Lebanon, Canadian citizens need a passport that is valid for at least six months after the expected date of departure from Lebanon and a visa that is valid for at least the length of your stay.

The currency in Lebanon is the Lebanese pound. Major credit cards and US dollars are often accepted and there are many ATMs.
