Choose a Baggage option that works for you! Depending on the option, you can pay the extra fee online or directly at the airport on the day of departure. Tip: purchase your Additional Baggage Option online up to 24 hours before your flight's departure and save.*

You can purchase multiple Baggage options at your convenience. Simply add up the number of options you would like to add to your booking.

When traveling with Air France, you can always place a small bag under the seat in front of you free of charge in the cabin. If you have paid a Basic fare, you can add a Hand Baggage option.
How do I purchase a Hand Baggage option?
You can purchase this option:
- When purchasing your Basic fare ticket online,
At any time after purchasing your Basic fare ticket and up to 4 hours before your flight's departure in the My Bookings section or directly at the counters at the airport.
Purchased additional hand baggage can measure up to 55 x 35 x 25 cm/21.7 x 13.8 x 9.9 in. (including pockets, wheels, and handles) and weigh up to 12 kg/26.4 lb. with the small bag.
Please note that in the case of a full flight, we may ask you to check in your hand baggage so that it can be transported as checked baggage.

How do I purchase an Additional Baggage Option online?
You can purchase one or more Additional Baggage Options: -when purchasing your ticket online, -anytime after purchasing your ticket and up to 30 hours before your flight’s departure in the My Bookings section, -when checking in online, departing from certain airports, and for flights operated by Air France, Air Corsica and Kenya Airways Plan to purchase your Additional Baggage Option up to 24 hours before your flight’s departure and enjoy a discount compared to the price charged at the airport! Any additional baggage item purchased may measure up to 158 cm/62.2 in (a + b + c) and weigh up to: - 23 kg/50 lb. in the Economy and Premium cabins - 32 kg/70.5 lb. in the Business and La Première cabins Please note: The number of additional baggage items may be limited depending on the size of the aircraft.

Additional Baggage option fees
You can always take an extra baggage item at a fee. Please note that we cannot transport more than 10 checked baggage items per passenger.
Please note that the tables below account for your standard baggage allowance. For example, if your standard allowance is 1 baggage item and you wish to add an additional item, you will pay the price listed under "2nd bag"

How to purchase an Oversized Baggage option
You can pay for an Oversized Baggage option at the airport on your departure date when you drop off your baggage.

You can travel with a bag that weighs more than the baggage weight included in your ticket, so long as it does not exceed 32 kg/70.5 lb. The price of an Overweight Baggage option depends on your itinerary and must be paid for at the airport.
